to the Hurricane Football Website -- Version 3.0
Welcome to the newest version of the Liberty Football
website. This year's version might be a little on the late side
but that doesn't mean it won't be better than any in years past.
We have lots of new ideas for features on this site including;
Interactive Forums-- I am sure many of you are familiar
with on-line forums such as pennlive and easternpafootball,
both sites that I frequesnt often, but for those of you that
are not an interactive forum is basically a text based on-line
discussion between several users. Any user can start a thread,
which is really just a post made by that person. Others can
respond in what becomes a string of threads. This forum will
be for all things Liberty football and will be moderated by
the hurricanefootball.org staff.
Video Database-- We are currently working on
an on-line database of highlights for regular season and playoff
games. The format will be Video on Demand style and will be
archived and searchable by player, game, and season.
Chat Rooms-- Just an expansion on the Interactive Forum
this is a more dynamic way that allows fans to interact in real
time.
Virtual Store-- Last year during the playoffs
we sold shirts and hats through the website. This year we would
like to expand that idea into an entire Hurricane on-line store.
We would sell all kinds of custom hurricane products with all
proceeds benefiting the football team.
Recruiting Database-- The main reason we do
this site is to bring exposure to these student-athletes. With
so many hurricanes making there way onto the college playing
field we would like to make it easy for recruiters to access
information on Hurricane players. Complete with Bios, stats,
and video highlights we want to do everything we can to promote
our student athletes.
We are just scratching the surface here and we need your support.
Please help in advertising with the site so we can raise the
funds needed to support these athletes through the website.
