Andres "Hoagie" Morales writes home
Andres Morales was nice enough to take time from his buy schedule
to answer some questions.
1. How have you adjusted to college life and college academics?
The adjustment wasn’t quick or easy but after a whole
year I think the adjustment is pretty good. My grades are getting
better and so is my football. Together they can be a little
overwhelming at times but I just grind through it and breath
easy when its over
2. How has it been being recruited as a LB, being
switched to DE and now making your first start as a FB last
week against West Virginia?
Its been a crazy hectic route, but I been learning a lot of
football and its all paying off. And for starting and playing
it’s a dream come true those 60 minutes are the best
minutes of the entire week.
3. What is your daily schedule like?
Wake up at 730 mandatory breakfast at 8 class at 840 til 10
lift at 1030 til 1115 treatment and then meeting at 120 til
230 practice at 250 til 530 class at 655 til 930 that’s
my tuesday
4. Have you had any contact with current Liberty players
and offered any advice for this season?
Yea I talk to joey pretty often and horvin, I just tell them
to enjoy these years and make the most of everyday
5. What are some of the best and worst things about
living in college?
Worst is the same old food all the time the best is the freedom
from parents
6. Where do you see yourself in two years?
Two years I hope to be a captain and on my way to a national
championship
7. What was it like being involved in some of the
great atmosphere’s Rutgers has enjoyed over the last
two years in your own stadium?
Its just a dream come true, I never thought I could be here,
sometimes I just look up and stare at the stands and take
it all in
8. What do you miss most about Bethlehem?
My bed at home is bigger.
9. You were a top student in High School, have you
been able to continue to excel in the classroom now that you
are in college?
It’s a little different in college its more
independent learning so im getting used to the new style and
I’ll be at the top of my school game again
10. Anything you want to tell the team before they
take on rival Freedom in the showdown of Bethlehem on Saturday
afternoon?
Have fun there is nothing like beating freedom on a Saturday
afternoon in front of everyone in Bethlehem.
